World Cultures Research
Research is an integral part of the responsibility of caring for an important collection.
Whether this work is done by a curator, a conservator or a visiting specialist, research encourages access to a collection for everyone’s benefit.
External funding has meant that the ethnography (World Cultures) collection has been examined by a wide variety of scholars and source communities. This has culminated in a series of reports that are now publicly accessible on the RAMM Research Collection.
Research projects include objects from Burma, Oriental export-ware ceramics, the Richard E. Dennett collection from Central Africa, the Blackfoot collection and the current Pacific Island project called Discovering Worlds.
