A cloak, korowai, with rolled flax fibre tassels and wool detail on the borders. Cloaks are prestigious in Maori culture. This one has rolled paru muka hukahuka, or black processed flax fibre tassels, and wool paheke (decorative thread worked through the wefts of the weave) detail on the bottom.
