Single strand of old dark blue glass beads threaded onto grass fibre (boabab). Interestingly, among its length are white, pink and opaque beads. It’s possible that this might represent imperfection in nature or that the maker was using what beads were available. This was worn during initiation ceremonies, these beads are called mugathi wa ingongona.
